Los tres detenidos por robar en camiones en el polígono de A Granxa no son una casualidad. Pese a que las buenas comunicaciones y la cercanía con la frontera lusa suponen todo un atractivo para delincuentes, lo cierto es que su seguridad deja prácticamente blindado el área industrial del municipio. Las patrullas de la policía local incluyen estas zonas dentro de sus lugares de paso para vigilancia, labor que también realizan desde la Guardia Civil, cuyo cuartel de Torneiros es un referente en el sur de la provincia a nivel de efectivos. A todas estas medidas se une la vigilancia privada contratada por la unidad de gestión del área, que está reforzada con cámaras de seguridad y seguimiento incluso de los cinco kilómetros de galería subterránea existente bajo las naves. Además, muhcas de las firmas tienen su propia seguridad.
